Movies

In partnership with Reuben Cannon Productions, TDJE produced the feature-length film Woman, Thou Art Loosed!—winner of the 2004 Santa Barbara Independent Film Festival and seventh nationally in its opening-weekend box office. By January 2006, the video had sold more than 1 million copies.

In January 2006, TDJE announced a new partnership with Sony Screen Gems to produce up to nine inspirational films for theater and DVD.

Not Easily Broken, the first movie out of the pipeline, wrapped filming in summer of 2007. The movie—starring Morris Chestnut, Taraji P. Henson, and Jennifer Lewis, and directed by Bill Duke— will open in theatres nationwide in early 2009.

Music Label

TDJE's gospel music label, Dexterity Sounds, has sold more than 1 million CDs.

In 2007, Dexterity Sounds joined forces with Rhino/WEA Entertainment to form a new recording venture.

Conferences

In 2004, TDJ Enterprises partnered with Thomas Nelson Publishers to create the God's Leading Lady Conference, which drew more than 60,000 women in cities across the U.S.

In 2006 TDJ Enterprises launched the B.E.S.T. Leadership and Empowerment Conference, bringing together minority professionals to assist them with achieving success in every aspect of their lives.

Radio

In 2006, TDJ Enterprises partnered with Premiere Radio to produce "Empowering Moments" with T.D. Jakes. These 60-second features debuted June 5, 2006 on more than 50 stations, and air twice daily between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m with a 30-second advertising adjacency.

In 2008, TDJ Enterprises partnered with Syndication One, bringing "Empowering Moments" to over 130 radio stations nationwide. To read the complete press release announcing this historic deal, click here.
