Enough Is Enough!

Don’t just stand there.

The world suffers through conflict after conflict; political, personal and global.  Yet, we must not despair!  Ghandi’s words have never been more true: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”

You may think that a leader is only someone in a position of great power and authority, but nothing could be further from the truth.  You are a leader in your home. You are a leader in your community.  You can lead through your empathetic actions towards others.

Our power lies in being positive and proactive not only in our own lives, but in our daily interactions.  As a leader, you actively work to uplift others.  During your time at work, for example, you can mentor intentionally, speak openly about your life experiences and provide positive feedback and insight.  As a leader in your community you listen to others with respect and are always ready with a helping hand.

Hemingway famously said, “The world is a fine place and worth fighting for.”  Keep fighting for greater kindness, keep fighting for empathy and understanding, keep fighting for peace.

Only through your leadership will the world return to the fine place that we all love.
