Laughter Heals

Start feeling better today!

Charles Dickens wrote, "There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor."  Indeed, laughing and joking with our friends and family does our heart tremendous good.

Yet, psychologists have discovered that the average four-year-old laughs three hundred times a day while that number drops to only four by the time we reach forty.

Why have we stopped laughing?  When is the last time you laughed?

Finding ways to laugh more throughout our day keeps us young in heart and spirit.  Laughter researcher William Fry “claimed it took ten minutes on a rowing machine for his heart rate to reach the level it would after just one minute of hearty laughter.” Laughter makes us feel our best!

Designate space for lighthearted, full-bellied laughter.  Let’s share the joy of laughter with those in our lives and revel in the warmth.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” Let’s not waste another moment without it.
